PostSubject: Final Fantasy   Wed Mar 17, 2010 2:20 pm

I recently was asked to go to Gamestop with my roommate to get some drinking money for our old games. Soon after we arrived we found out that to get cash, instead of trade-in value, we would lose nearly 3/4 of the money. I was still determined to see how much money I could get for my dozen useless games. $100 trade-in, $35 cash. Woah! I said fuck it, I might as well get a couple games. I then purchased Bad Company 2 (FPS) and Final Fantasy XIII.

As soon as I got home I tried out Bad Company because I am a huge FPS fan. I was thrilled. BC2 seems to have made warfare more realistic that MW2. Destructible environments, slower pace (strategy opportunities), and a decent ranking system. The graphics and levels are outstanding. I played for a good 3 hours of MP. Im not huge on SP FPSs.

Then I put in Final Fantasy at about 10PM. Holy shit the open scene is straight out of a movie! I had early class, so I told myself to be done by 11. 2 and a half hours later I went to sleep at 12:30. The story is rich and compelling, it keeps you wanting to play to see what will happen next.

Overall I am glad I was asked to trade in my old games... It has really paid off.
